What is inside this GRAFCORE floor?

Is the top layer laminate?
No. The described wear surface is real white oak, not a printed decorative layer.
How is it different from Baltic birch engineered oak?

Can I choose a quieter grain?

The details that matter
White oak can read as quiet and linear or expressive and varied. The sample menu includes Rift + Quartered, Plain Sawn, Rift, and Quartered options alongside Character and Select + Better grades. Grade and cut answer different questions: one concerns the visual mix, the other the grain presentation. Ask for a representative selection when continuity across a large open floor is important.
Coordinate the floor height early
The nominal 5/8-inch board is only part of the installed height. Underlayment, adhesive, leveling work, and adjoining finishes can change the final transition. Check doorway clearance and stair details before releasing the order. If a different thickness is needed, compare the separately specified GRAFCORE family rather than treating the products as interchangeable variants of one assembly.
Evaluate a sample before choosing the floor
A small piece is useful for comparing grain and texture against your home's materials. It cannot certify moisture suitability, installed color, full-board lengths, or the visual range of a whole shipment. Record the species, core, grade, pattern, and width you evaluated so the final quotation describes the same selection. Confirm the approved finish system and maintenance guidance with the order. The surface remains real hardwood and should not be exposed to repeated standing water.
