A prefinished sample shows the wood and its applied coating together, helping you coordinate the floor with the rest of an interior. Graf's standard sample palette uses an engineered white oak specification. That shared format makes the named finishes easier to compare, but it is still important to confirm that your full-floor order uses the same width, grade, grain, color, and sheen you approved.

View samples where the flooring will be installed. Daylight, warm lamps, surrounding paint, and stone undertones can all shift how a surface appears. Keep the color name with the sample and ask for the applicable maintenance instructions. A factory coating is not a universal waterproofing claim, nor does it remove the need for suitable site conditions and the manufacturer's installation process.

Questions before you choose

Does prefinished flooring need staining on site?

Its intended color and finish are applied before installation. Confirm the particular product and avoid adding unapproved coatings.

Can I compare different sheen levels?

Graf lists a separate 30 Sheen sample family. Do not assume it is identical to the standard prefinished sample.

Does prefinished mean the floor cannot be repaired?

No. Repair options depend on the coating, damage, and construction. Ask for guidance specific to the product.

Why is a physical sample important?

It shows the coating, texture, and grain in your room's light, which a screen cannot reproduce reliably.

Are all color names available in every board size?

That needs confirmation. A color menu alone is not proof of every size and finish combination.
